Yes, sex education should be taught in the nations public schools. I truly believe that it's important that our children have the knowledge of practicing abstinence. By practicing abstinence, it will relieve the worries of contracting all kinds of sexual transmitted diseases. I don't believe that our schools should teach practicing safe sex because sex should only be performed within a marriage. Our children need to know that there or consequences for the actions that they take. They need to be taught that condoms and other birth control methods or not 100% effective. Also, they need to be taught that the decisions that they make today will affect them for a life time.

I agree personally with you that sex should only be within marriage. I believe this for religious reasons, and because you decrease the chances of pain if it is kept within marriage. Abstinence education is very important. It is the only thing that is 100% effective in preventing pregnancy AND STDs. One thing that I will always remember my mom telling me is that I have no business having sex unless I am willing to have a child (especially if on "accident").
